While one-to-one hypnotherapy can be incredibly powerful, there is also something uniquely supportive about working in a group setting, where change happens not just individually, but collectively.
A different way to experience change
Group hypnotherapy offers a calm, structured space where you can begin to quiet the mind, build resilience, and develop more helpful patterns of thinking. There is no pressure to speak or share anything personal.
Instead, you are gently guided through relaxation and solution-focused techniques, allowing your mind to settle and reset, much like the process of drifting into a deep, restorative rest.
And often, simply being in a room with others who are also taking steps toward positive change can feel reassuring and motivating. You are not alone in how you feel.
What group workshops can help with
Workshops are designed to support a wide range of experiences, including:
Stress and overwhelm
Anxiety and overthinking
Sleep difficulties
Confidence and self-esteem
Focus and clarity
Building healthier habits and routines
By working with the mind in a calm and focused way, we begin to shift attention away from problems, and towards solutions, strengths, and what’s possible.
Over time, this can create a noticeable sense of ease, balance, and forward movement.
Supporting wellbeing in the workplace
Group Mental Wellness Sessions can also be a valuable addition to employee wellbeing programmes.
In busy working environments, it’s common for stress and mental fatigue to build up over time. These workshops offer a practical and restorative pause, helping individuals reset, refocus, and return to their work with greater clarity and calm.
Sessions can be tailored for organisations and teams, supporting:
Reduced stress levels
Improved concentration and productivity
Better sleep and overall wellbeing
A more positive and resilient mindset
Creating space for this kind of support not only benefits individuals, but can also have a meaningful impact on the wider workplace culture.
How Workshops Are Structured
Each workshop is designed to feel calm, supportive, and focused, creating a space where you can relax while also beginning to think a little differently.
We usually begin with a light icebreaker. This isn’t about putting anyone on the spot, but rather about easing into the session and gently breaking down some of the common myths around hypnosis. It’s also a chance to understand a little more about how and why hypnotherapy works so effectively.
From there, I introduce some simple, accessible psychoeducation, helping you make sense of how the mind responds to stress, why we can sometimes feel stuck, and how small shifts in thinking can begin to create real change.
There are also a few gentle exercises woven into the session. These are designed to help you recognise your own strengths, build awareness of what’s already working well, and begin to look ahead towards how you would like things to be. This might include a light focus on future thinking or goal setting, always in a way that feels positive and achievable.
The workshop then moves into a guided hypnosis session. This is a deeply relaxing experience where you are simply invited to sit back and listen. You remain in full control at all times. Aware, comfortable, and able to come out of the state whenever you choose. Hypnosis is not about losing control, but about allowing the mind to settle into a calmer, more receptive state where helpful suggestions can begin to take root.
Sessions can be held both online and in person (most commonly across Dorset, and parts of Hampshire and Wiltshire), although I am sometimes able to travel further afield. Each workshop is thoughtfully paced, allowing space to pause, reflect, and reset.
It’s a gentle process… but often, a powerful one.
A gentle, effective step forward
Whether you are looking for personal support or exploring ways to bring wellbeing into your workplace, group hypnotherapy offers a simple and effective way to begin.
There is nothing to force, nothing to perform. No stage hypnosis and sharing is required. Just a chance to pause… reset… and allow positive change to unfold.
Why work with me?
I have a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and a Clinical Practice Diploma from the renowned David Newton CPHT training school in Bristol. I’ve completed advanced training specifically for Running Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Group Sessions with the Halifax Hypnotherapy Clinic, and am fully certified and insured to run highly effective Solution Focused Hypnotherapy groups. I'm a registered member of 3 governing bodies - the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I have a business background with many varied roles in corporate, small business and public sector, as well as experience as a special needs parent and 10 years as a Special Olympics coach. I have an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges these environments can bring, as well as a record of success in helping people feel uplifted, empowered, or simply calmer and more focused, as a result of attending group sessions with me.
After recent workshops I ran for overwhelmed parents of special needs children and adults, participants all rated the sessions 5 out of 5 - and all attendees shifted from rating themselves as feeling 'moderately' or 'highly' stressed before the workshops to feeling 'calm' or 'deeply relaxed' afterwards.
If you’d like to find out more about upcoming workshops, or discuss sessions for your organisation, you are very welcome to get in touch.
I’d love to hear from you.
